Song by Louis Jordan and his Tympany Five
This is me fulfilling a request to cover a second song from the album Nilsson Schmilsson. The photographs (mine) are of “Building Connections”, a mural designed by Shira Walinsky and Ernel Martinez and painted by many talented Mural Arts painters.
Eric sings “The Moonbeam Song”, written by the great Harry Nilsson.
My good friend asked me to play an old Sufjan song for his ordination. I changed it somewhat significantly, thus it is meet and right to rename it: Timothy’s Ordination Song. (Don't watch the video. I can't control my face.)
I was interviewed by the kind, smart people at “What’s Your Muse?” Below are links to the podcast episode. Have a nice week, all.
Earth & Altar recently published a short story of mine called “Sondland on the Stand.” You can find it here: https://earthandaltarmag.com/posts/sondland-on-the-stand
MLK’s favorite hymn
I wrote this song, about an apocalypse/imminent-catastrophe, over a year ago. It’s hopeful, I think.
This video (six years old) has aged well, I think.
Will and I will play a special duo show April 7 at Milkboy. We go on early, assuredly welcome news for everyone we know. A FB event is here: https://www.facebook.com/events/180985142999694/

“Like Jewish communities across the nation, Philadelphia’s Congregation Mikveh Israel mourned the death of President Lincoln, ‘who, like our own law-giver, Moses, brought a nation to the verge of the haven of peace, and like him was not allowed to participate in its consummation.’”
I briefly had a 4K camera at my disposal and decided to make a slapdash recording of a song I haven't yet brought to my bandmates.

We play two shows this week, a pop-up event (that we didn’t organize, but which we’re looking forward to), and a, free and open-to-everyone, gig at Brewery ARS (it’s their third anniversary) on Saturday at 7 p.m. We love performing at ARS. (Philadelphia Magazine agrees with me that their beer is the best beer in Philly.)
Will and Eric were interviewed for the podcast, Dude, Check This Out. You can find the episode on the podcast’s website; it’s also available via Stitcher and iTunes.
A singer I greatly respect suggested I make a video of me performing “Lilac Wine”, whence this video.
I had the opportunity to be an artist in residence in Washington state for about a month, alongside some brilliant people: two artists in residence, pictured here (Shannon and Momo), and many artists (Courtney, Gray, David, Tom, Vonda, Jim, Liz and artist/aesthetician, Marguerite).
